About Our Club
The Limestone Boat & Board Club (LBBC) is a not-for-profit organization serving Kingston, the Limestone City. We offer water activities for youth and adults, focusing on stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking and surf ski, SUP-rowing (SUPR), and sailing.
Our aim is to develop knowledge, skills and fitness through innovative recreational activities and friendly competition in a group environment.
Our Water Activities
Learn boat handling, SUP paddling, safety, training and conditioning in a fun group or individual setting.
A surf ski is an open-water racing kayak that can be remounted after a fall, even in rough water. It is an exciting way to progress toward racing kayaks and marathon kayak events.
Enjoy a range of water activities, from learning the basics to developing advanced skills.
From First Paddle to Racing
Our equipment ranges from children's boards and kayaks for six-year-olds and recreational sit-on-top kayaks to high-performance surf skis and racing SUPs. People of different ages and experience levels can try a variety of paddle sports in a welcoming club environment.
Our marathon and open-water racing team travels throughout Eastern Canada and the USA to compete in wilderness adventure races, long-distance river races and open-water races.
Members interested in more competitive programs can progress through our partner clubs: Kingston Rowing Club and Sydenham Lake Canoe Club.
BOATHOUSE & SURROUNDINGS CAPITAL PROJECT
Help us clear out and build up the area around the club as we work toward Phase 2 of our boathouse development.

Accessible Dock & Community Support
In 2019, LBBC received a $24,000 United Way Community Investment Grant for the construction of an accessible public dock on the shoreline at Rotary Park.
The project called for a temporary connection to the park pathways and a wide, gradual slope leading to a floating dock where club members and community residents could launch watercraft such as SUPs, kayaks and canoes. The club's lower docks and fittings were to be attached to the large steel-and-wood floating dock.
We are truly thankful to the United Way of KFLA and Inner Harbour Marine Contractors for their funding and generous work installing our new facilities.
